From the Author's Desk
This life is all that there is. And there is no other purpose of life apart from attaining ‘happiness and success’. For aeons, humans have been relentlessly endeavouring to fill their lives with happiness and success, but barely one in a thousand has actually succeeded. Why? Well, this ‘Why’ is the puzzle…a question that has haunted man for ages. On the other hand, seemingly successful people are not content with their success, as there is not one but several yardsticks to measure ‘happiness and success’. For instance, attainment of a mind devoid of desire is religious success. But this by no means is sufficient as far as success and happiness is concerned; there are many more milestones that man still needs to achieve. Unfortunately, man has failed to grasp this simple fact for ages. This is the reason, a person who is successful in one field seems to be a ‘failure’ in other areas. It is a commonplace feeling that ‘I am not getting what I deserve’. However, in reality, this is not the case. Everything in existence functions according to laws, and with such precision that only justice prevails here. However, in order to grasp the profundity of this phenomenon, one has to comprehend the entire design of Nature. This entire existence, including human life, is functioning systematically in sync with not one but several principles. And all the existential principles and laws are equally applicable to every human's life without exception. For instance, even though a person may have achieved religious success by attaining the higher state of mind devoid of desire, this by no means grants him freedom from other laws. If he does not attend to his bodily needs and damages his lungs in the process, then in spite of his attainment of a desireless mind, his lungs will not receive the necessary oxygen from the air. That is because the body, having its own independent laws, will follow them without any bias or discrimination. That is the reason, despite living with a ‘desireless mind’ Ramakrishna Paramhansa was afflicted by cancer and Mahavir had to fight the dreadful disease, dysentery. Hence, I hope you have grasped the pertinent point I am attempting to bring forth. However, proceeding further, I will reiterate that attainment of religious success alone does not suffice. The ‘principles of destiny’ are also equally applicable to everything that exists in this world. According to the principles of destiny, a person can be considered successful only when he attains the purpose he has been born to achieve. And as per the principles of destiny, it is impossible for any person to attain contentment without realising the purpose for which he has taken birth. And a person who is not content can never be termed successful by any measure. In the same vein, the laws of Nature too are equally applicable to everyone in this world. And in view of Nature’s laws, no person who departs from the world without performing a historic deed for the ‘greater good’ can be termed successful, as this entire Nature functions on the sole principle of ‘Betterment and Welfare of All’. Similarly, success has nothing to do with renunciation or worldliness either. We have seen umpteen ‘fakirs’—paupers in bliss and billionaires in despair. Thus, psychologically, only a person who is totally free of sorrows and worries can be considered ‘successful’ in this world. And this ‘psychological success’ cannot be undermined either. Moreover, the laws of life demand a person to become absolutely self-reliant in all respects. A person, living with any kind of reliance and dependence cannot be termed successful in life. On the other hand, the fact remains that man is nothing but the ‘mind’. Therefore, the person who is not avocational at heart and does not pursue any pleasure pursuit, and who does not know the art of fulfilling it, cannot be considered successful in matters relating to his mind and heart; because in Nature’s scheme of things, the very purpose of human existence on earth is to revel and rejoice. Therefore, according to the laws of the mind, leading a life without avocation and pleasure pursuit is abnegating the blessings of Nature.
In other words, there is not one but several requirements for success. And until a person attains multidimensional success in all its dimensions, he cannot be considered truly successful. Moreover, as this entire Nature and human life is functioning in accordance with not one but several laws operating simultaneously, without having a thorough knowledge of these laws, it is impossible to attain success in any field. Metaphorically speaking, life is a game and as you know, in order to win any game, it is imperative to know the rules of the game. This straight and simple fact makes it amply clear that man has been unsuccessful for ages only because of his ignorance of laws; as the laws of Nature and human life have not been discussed simultaneously. Whereas, in reality, not only are all these laws intertwined with each other, but they also influence each other. And most importantly, human life and the entire Nature functions under the overarching principles of Time; even so, the treatises on the principles of Time are scarce or you may say, almost nil. Hence, to sum up, the laws of Nature and the principles of Time both are applicable to all other existential laws and principles. And therefore, if you ignore them, it is impossible to even think of attaining success.
As this is an in-depth treatise, let me put forward yet another important point; perhaps this will help you easily grasp what I am trying to explain here. In the entire history of mankind, except for Krishna, no one has scaled every conceivable zenith of success, in totality. He is the only one who not only grasped these laws, but also used them fully to his advantage. This is the reason, in spite of spending his childhood as a simple cowherd, he could become the king of the ‘Golden City of Dwarka’. His unflagging victory march can solely be attributed to his deft use of these laws. Krishna is the only one who never relented or shied away from allowing himself to become the medium of the Supreme Soul. Whether it was subterfuge or slyness, fighting a battle or slaying someone, he cheerfully let himself become the medium for every divine play of the Supreme Soul. Moreover, Krishna was successful even in matters relating to his ‘mind’; his passion pursuits were all-comprehensive; be it grooming, gourmet or fine arts such as dance and music. As for his psychological success, what could be a better proof of h
is psychological elevation than the instance where he joyfully played a lilting melody on his flute even as he was trapped under the hood of the great serpent, Kaaliya? And as far as his overall success in life is concerned, he had built Dwarka on his own merits and had won all the battles of life on his own steam. He never depended on anyone for anything. He simply excelled in the sphere of love, without which life becomes barren; in fact, he was a gushing stream of love. As for physical health, the absence of which renders everything futile, he had maintained sound health and fitness till his last breath. On the last day of his life, at the age of 108, he precipitated the bloodbath of Yadavasthali. In short, you will not be able to taste success like Krishna without the knowledge and grasping of all these laws.
However, here I would like to make one thing clear; success does not depend at all on things which one has considered important since centuries. Whether it is Nature or human life, both are extremely profound and mysterious. That is why, it is not easy to comprehend how an uneducated Edison became such a legendary scientist, or how a mischievous child like Steve became the great and successful ‘Steve Jobs’. Neither has anyone been able to comprehend how two illiterate men like Kalidas and Kabir became such legendary poets. But answers to such questions related to human life can be easily found by grasping the essence and the laws that govern and influence human life. It is for this purpose that I present to you this ‘Secret Series’, which unveils the secrets of Nature, Time, Automation, Destiny, Success, Karma and its fruits, Reincarnation, Life, Religion, Mind, Soul, God, Ego, Psychology and Love. In this series, I have attempted to unravel the secrets of ‘Child Psychology’ too, because children are like seeds. Only by understanding their psychology, can they be nurtured in accordance with all these laws and their lives be enriched, enhanced and made meaningful.
Lastly…do not try to interpret these laws and principles with the help of your brain. All these secrets and principles are subject matter of the mind, not of the brain. In other words, these are subjects to be experienced, not comprehended superficially. Only the principles you are able to put into practice must be considered as having been understood; because you implement and abide by only those principles which have been deeply ingrained in you. And your gain is limited to the principles you put into practice. And if you can put at least 35 percent of these secrets and principles into practice, you can be assured of leading a great, successful life. Therefore, consider this to be the real test of your life, which you must clear at any cost; because until you clear this test, irrespective of the quantum of your efforts and hardwork, you cannot expect a positive development in life and you will not be able to traverse on the path to becoming great.
So I hope, this endeavour of mine will not only pique your interest and lead you to an insightful journey, but it will also prove beneficial for you all.

Is destiny preordained?
Destiny is a subject that humans perhaps are most curious about. Whether or not destiny is preordained, is possibly the most widely discussed subject. However, in truth, destiny is not preordained. And those who think it is, neither have knowledge about the Laws of Nature, nor about the mysteries related to human life. The excuse or argument that destiny is preordained, is put forward by those who are either fearful or wish to use it as a premise to hide their own failures. Thus, know for certain, that in this ever-flowing and ever-changing Nature, where everything functions from moment to moment, nothing is preordained.
Why give credit if destiny is preordained?
If the quantum of success or the quality of a person’s life is predetermined, then the huge amount of knowledge amassed and the actions that humans have been indulging in, is obviously rendered futile. In that case, Siddhartha Gautama need not be hailed for becoming Buddha, as he was destined to become Buddha. Why only Buddha, by the same argument, even hardcore criminals and terrorists like Osama Bin Laden or Dawood Ibrahim should not be condemned either, as they were pre- destined to become terrorists. Moreover, if destiny is preordained, then neither should Rama be worshipped nor should Ravana be condemned and his effigy burnt.
Destiny is built by Karma - Actions
Every human being is bestowed with absolute freedom by Nature, and when he is completely free, the responsibility to build his life, lies with him and him alone. If a person fails to achieve success in life for any reason whatsoever, he cannot hold ‘destiny’ or ‘God’ responsible for it, because life is made or marred by one’s own actions. Even as per the essence of the great psychological tome, ‘Bhagavad Gita’, a person’s karma is the basis on which his life is built, and thus, he alone is the master as well as the creator of his destiny.
Ignorance about Karma
Hopefully, you must have grasped by now, how your karma―actions shape your destiny. And this obviously gives rise to the question as to what are the actions that go on to shape your destiny? Now, this is where the problem lies, because there is a lack of knowledge with regards to what actions one must indulge in and what actions one must not indulge in. Though all, from religions to society, have prepared their numerous long lists of dos and don'ts, none are proving to be effective. Besides which, everyone for their part is applying their intelligence to the best of their ability to build their lives. Yet, the present state of their life makes it amply clear, that irrespective of the quantum of efforts or intelligence on their part, none of it seems to be bearing any positive result. Hence, it can be deduced from the above-mentioned facts that all the actions and efforts put in by human beings, are in no way contributing to shaping their ‘destiny’, but on the contrary, are leading them astray. This in turn, necessitates everyone to think afresh as to which actions one should indulge in and in which one should not to build a great life.
The great ‘automation of destiny’
Now, before we look at karma―actions that carve our destiny, it is imperative to understand the ‘automation of destiny’ that exists in Nature, which functions for the welfare of each and every human and also works ‘in sync’ with each one of them, in the interest of the larger good. And this automation does not regard or consider anyone as great or ordinary, big or small; nor does it recognise the individual existence of any particle or even a human being. It simply desires the betterment of all without any discrimination. Furthermore, this automation alone is the force, which can work towards the betterment of all and bring the desired results effectively. That alone is God. This great automation alone is the one and only master of all. So, please grasp this great ‘automation of destiny’ well, and ingrain the principles of its functioning forever in your mind. Unless you grasp the ‘automation of destiny’ and its principles, you will never be able to unravel any secret pertaining to life or destiny.
The delusion with regards to Karma
Now, let us straightaway begin with karma actions, and in this regard, the problem is the clash between two sets of desires; here two different sets of ideologies are at constant conflict with each other. One, the individual interests through which a person desires the betterment of himself and the fulfilment of his own wants, which, at the most, encompasses the needs of his near and dear ones. The other is the interests of the automation, which desires the betterment and progress of every human being. Unfortunately, all the knowledge, teachings, and ideologies available at the disposal of human beings pertain to their individual betterment; and ironically, that is precisely what interests them too. However, as the desire of serving individual interests alone is against the ‘automation of destiny’, none of these (knowledge or actions) bear any positive result. This is the reason why, in spite of all efforts and endeavours, barely one in thousands is able to lead a successful life. And that too, only in the measure in which his individual interests are in sync with the interests of the ‘automation of destiny’.
The conflict between ‘Swa’ - Self and ‘Sarva’ - All
In this world, two kinds of human beings are actively functional. The first ones a
re those, who urged by their selfish interests, only work towards the betterment of their own life. Whether it is religion or God, for them, everything revolves around the fulfilment of their own personal interests. But since this works against the great ‘automation of destiny’, none of those, who are purely driven by their own interests seem to gain anything or reach their potential. On the other hand, there are few who are flowing with the ‘automation of destiny’; those who, instead of serving their own interests, take keen interest in serving the ‘sarva’ i.e. the interests of the entire humanity. And these are the people who have all the energy of the ‘automation of destiny’ available at their disposal. As a consequence, within a short span of time, they begin to rise above the ordinary and tread the path to greatness.
Two different types of people — Two different types of karmas
In essence, there are two reasons which propel a person to act. One, to serve himself i.e. his selfish interests, and the other, to rise above these selfish interests and work towards the interests of the entire mankind. And all those who rise above their selfish interests and act, are automatically taken care of by the ‘automation of destiny’, obviously in the measure of their selflessness. This is the principle of destiny; and the same principle of destiny is beautifully explained by Christ. In essence, he says, “When you think and act in the interests of all, your individual interests are automatically taken care of”. This supreme principle is the only path to build your life and achieve legendary greatness. Buddha was concerned for the entire mankind and so was Edison. Edison too had invented the light bulb in the interests of the entire mankind. All the great and successful people in the world have followed this one principle and achieved greatness. Hence, you must grasp well, that all the other knowledge which induces selfishness has proved banal in comparison to this supreme principle of destiny. If you have basic psychological understanding, peruse through the biographies of great people; you will find, they all have attained legendary greatness by treading onto the path of life, which has the interests of the entire mankind at heart. This is the reason, why the most ancient of religious psychological texts consider ‘selfishness’ as the greatest enemy of a human being.
